btw now that I have come to the End of taylors character and have all the context, it is so ridiculous that everyone hates taylor so much and paints her as awful and evil, when meanwhile buck was a TERRIBLE boyfriend lmfao like just not a good boyfriend! and she STUCK WITH IT??? like it didn't even seem like he liked her very much with the shit he pulled. AND the fact that right up until the very end taylor was like "ok im willing to work on it"? girl she was in LOVE with him. sorry if you're just not a taylor understander but she was willing to lay down her ego and do what it took to be with him and buck like barely wanted her in his house lmfao. by the end he was looking for a good reason to end it. i don't know how you watch that relationship and come out of it like "uwu poor buck and big meanie taylor"

i'm not pretty
Tumblr media
I’M NOT PRETTY, CONRAD FISHER X FEM!READER
APART OF THE ‘ANOTHER ON THE WAY’ SERIES
SUMMARY: while dating one of the hottest boys on cousin’s beach, and an accidental like on an old instagram post, singer y/n l/n realizes exactly what her relationship with the entails, and past girls she might have pissed off.
inspired by i’m not pretty by megan moroney
◀ ⏸ ▶
lowercase is intentional! wc: 0.7k
warnings: reader is blonde today (i promise this will make sense), belly being kinda a bitch!! (peace and love), use of nickname/relationship nicknames (babe)
a/n: guys this is not my best work but thats what i get for not writing since november
“UM, HEY CONRAD?”
y/n called out as she sat in the kitchen of the susannah fisher’s beach house, and the boy turned the corner, giving the girl he loved a wide smile.
“what’s up sunshine?”he questioned, resting his head on the shoulder of the blonde, and he could see instagram open on the girl’s phone, “who’s this?”
y/n pulled up a profile, with her face filled with confusion, and she heard conrad groan as soon as he saw it, “is it someone bad?”
“my ex girlfriend.”conrad told her, and the girls lips shaped into an ‘oh’, before tilting her head slightly.
“but i thought you and nicole were just a fling?”she questioned before conrad went back and tapped on the profile once more, “sunshine that isn’t nicole.”
“that’s belly.”
isabel conklin. the girl that had always loved conrad, and could never move past the breakup between the two. even now when she was interested in his brother, and conrad was dating y/n, the girl couldn’t move past the boy that should have been hers.
“yeah, that explains a bit of it.”y/n shifted back in her seat as conrad walked across the island, and raised an eyebrow at her, “what! you and i both know she wasn’t exactly nice to me the last time i was here while she was.”
y/n was right, belly wasn’t nice to her the last time the two were both at the beach house together. in the blonde’s words, the girl was a bitch. but she tried to be as nice as she could for conrad’s sake, knowing how much the conklins meant to his family.
“did she comment anything?”conrad questioned, and y/n shook her head no, “maybe she heard one of the songs you wrote and accidentally liked the post.”
the blonde gave the boy a look, knowing how wrong he was, “i love how naive you are.”
“i am not naive!”conrad argued as the blonde walked away, up towards the guest bedroom she had been staying in at the fisher’s beach house.
“keep telling yourself that babe!”y/n shouted before she climbed up the stairs, and into the room where her guitar sat, just screaming at her to write a song for her upcoming EP.
the girl had recently been signed to a record label, and while the inspiration had been there, the words wanting to be sung had disappeared from thin air. until now it was almost like a fire had been lit under her as soon as she got the instagram notification, all the words wanted to spill out of her.
it was almost hours before conrad finally peaked into the room, to see his girlfriend hovering over her song book, with her guitar playing and he could see himself in the background of her video.
“somewhere out there, my boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend is scrolling through my instagram.”she sang, and a small smile crept up onto conrad’s face knowing this would make her ep.
“tearing me down, passing the phone around like there’s nothing better to talk about.”the blonde went on, playing what conrad would call a beautiful cord progression on her guitar, “zoomin out, zoomin in, overanalysing.”
“head queen of the mean girl’s committee.”
“but whatever helps, keep telling yourself i’m not that pretty.”she finished, before turning off her video, finally noticing conrad standing in the doorway.
“that’s going on the EP isn’t it?”he questioned as y/n stood up, wrapping her arms around the boy she adored.
she looked up at him with a wide smile, before nodding slightly,
“you know me so well, lover boy.”

BESTIE I’M LIVING FOR YOUR PRACTICAL MAGIC OBSESSION that’s my all time favorite comfort movie. I love it so much, Sandra Bullock’s character and her love spell and the detective? Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!! I kinda wanna watch it now! Back in the day I wrote a Hux fanfic based on it that I never finished eheheh. Not only is that movie such a vibe is also such a good AU for a lot of characters!! ALSO THE MUSIC? THE FASHION!? that movie is perfection.
AHAHAHAA IT'S A WHOLE «PRACTICAL MAGIC» RENAISSANCE!
like I literally had to search up the books because I discovered the movie comes from a series of books so here I am searching them up. BUT THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE (and I shouldn't be allowed near a book store considering that last time I spent 67 euros last time I visited one).
and oh gods, ugh I did love sandra bullock's character but NICOLE KIDMAN AS A REDHEAD WITCH? ma'am, I fear that shall be my new personality.
and you are so right! like the whole scene of sandra bullock's character begging the aunts for her husband to be brought back? that's peak naoko (my csm oc) and kishibe. ugh, also I love the whole turning of the spoon on its own.
(and bestie, I need that hux fic LIKE ASAP).
and yeah, like there wasn't a sole aspect of that movie that didn't utterly enchant me; like the fashion? I want to dress up as aunt frances EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. but also yeah, of course they had stevie nicks on it and in general, I loved the themes as I am a sucker of the whole platonic love above romantic love, ugh (like we recently talked with my friends and pls ugh).

When I found love, I found you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Nicole and Kylo have been pining for each other for years, but a lavish party hosted by a mutual friend seems to be the tipping point for the two of them.
Protagonists- Nicole and Kylo
Side character- Jade (and mutual friend/party host?)
Antagonist- Jason
Warnings: *Does contain smut, * however it is vanilla, so nothing weird. Somewhat proofread and ending is a little rushed, so I apologize for any mistakes. Word Count: 3.6k
“You don’t have to be so worried, Nicole. It’s just a party.”
Jade observes Nicole as she goes through her self care ritual. A regular woman’s routine was already time consuming, but Nicoles took an even longer bout. It had to be perfect, everything. Any flaw would’ve punctured what was left of Nicole’s security. She had to make sure her hair was radiant, not dull and limp. She had to ensure her skincare provided what she needed, hydration and exfoliation. She had to make certain that her makeup would enhance her features, make her skin look smooth and her eyes pop. And she absolutely had to make sure her dress looked incredible, that it accentuated all the right parts of her body. The smooth satin and the length of the dress made it modest enough. Any extra mile there was, Nicole would take.
Nicole further observed herself, “It seems to be more than just a party to me, it’s more like a ball. Do we even know who is hosting it?” Nicole turns around to peer at Jade.
Nicole’s ritual certainly worked. Her hair shined like cool water on a sunny day, her skin like a porcelain doll. Jade questioned why she would be so worked up and precarious in the first place.
“No,” Jade said coolly. “But whoever it is, they have an immense amount of wealth, clearly.”
Nicole gave a curt nod before triple checking her appearance before they had to leave the hotel. “You must relax, you know? You look great and I am sure someone else will agree,” Jade poked.
Nicole snorted, “I would hope so, but I am not going to get my hopes up.”
“Even if, for whatever ridiculous reason, Kylo does not see you that way, I am sure you will find someone who will.”
“I appreciate it, Jade. You’re not too bad yourself.”
Jade rolled her eyes, “You’re a real flirt, aren’t you?”
About an hour has passed at the party, Nicole now seems to remember why she doesn’t attend these events too often. For such an extravagant place, it was just as congested and loud as any other party. Nicole still has yet to even see why, or rather who, convinced her to give this place a chance. Overwhelmed, Nicole decided to take a break from hanging out with the rest of the group and head over to the snack bar. She still kept an eye out for Kylo, scanning over the place. Her search only seemed to conclude in misfortune.
“Nicole! Long time no see.” A former friend of Nicole’s, Jason, greeted.
“Hey, I didn't know you were going to be here,” Nicole gave a chaste smile.
“It was a last minute decision, but it was all worth it to see someone as gorgeous as you.”
“Thank you, Jason.” Nicole carefully responded in a neutral tone. She did not want to give off the wrong impression. Sure, Jason seemed cool, but Nicole had no interest in him.
“I hope you're enjoying yourself more than I am.”
“I can’t say that I am,” Nicole heaved. She tried to make a point that she did not hold any interest towards Jason. He did not seem deterred though.
“It seems like you’re looking for a certain someone,” Jason pointed out.
Oh, maybe he was starting to understand. “I am,” Nicole confessed with a soft smile.
Much to Nicole’s joy, she saw light peak through the door as it opened. Like a sunrise beating against the sky that once held the stars and night. Her poor mood turned into one full of prosperity. There he was. She hoped Kylo would hurry and make his way over to her, to release her from such a cumbersome conversation. “So, he is the lucky guy?” Jason probed.
He just had to be so observant. “Maybe,” She divulged.
She hoped he would take another hint and take off to pester someone else. Much to her dismay, he did not relent. “You should consider your other options, Nicole. They could offer so much more,” He carefully planted his hand on her shoulder.
Nicole never realized how awful Jason was at flirting. “That’s quite alright, Jason. I’m good.” She huffed out an awkward laugh and backed away. Good Lord, can’t this guy take a hint?
Then Kylo spotted Nicole. He felt heat plaster over his face, he felt like his eyes were nearly falling out of his head. Nicole looked absolutely stunning. Of course she always did, but this was a little different. There was intent. Kylo could not help but ogle, an embarrassing habit
he had when it came to Nicole. He could not help it though. It was pure admiration, not just lust. It was getting more difficult keeping within the bounds of just being friends. Nicole was just so much, all the time, and she never realized it. Kylo saw the man next to her, flirting with her. He wondered if it was too late to talk to Nicole. A strange feeling shadowed over Kylo. It was dark, maybe it even had a little bit of anger to it. Especially towards the man. Is this what jealousy is like? Did Nicole really like the man? Or was this man already her boyfriend? Did Kylo’s delusions serve himself wrong? He further observed, Nicole didn’t seem too interested in the strange man. She actually looked quite awkward and uneasy. The strange feeling that placed itself over Kylo morphed into something anew. It made him feel just as strange, but he felt like he had some sort of responsibility over Nicole, a duty to protect her. Of course he didn’t think she was property or some prize to be won. But he knew one thing for sure though, he did not like this.
He strode with confidence and a disgruntled mood. He could tell this man was pushing the limit. “You tantalize me, Nicole. Please, allow me to take you somewhere we would both enjoy more.” Jason hovered a little closer.
Is this guy out of his mind? Nicole knew he was overbearing, especially when he is drunk, but it’s only been an hour. No way he could be close to blacking out like this. Was he always this crude? “I think she has made it plenty clear that she is not interested.” Kylo spoke.
Jason looked between Nicole and Kylo. Before walking off, he scoffed, “Women never know what they actually need, do they?”
Nicole stood there for a moment, with eyes widened. What a douche. “I never knew he would act like that.”
“Are you okay?” Kylo looked her over, “This is not exactly the place to be by yourself.”
“I just needed a minute, it’s so congested out on the dance floor.” Nicole ducked her head.
He nodded, understanding very well what she meant. “For the record you look- amazing.” Kylo couldn’t find the right words to describe her. Beautiful? Ethereal? There weren't enough words to describe what he thought of her.
“Thank you, Kylo.” Nicole grinned, “I really do appreciate it.” He would never understand how much a small compliment from him meant.
He further looked at her. He took in everything he saw, her hair, hair smile, her dress. She was perfect. “You really do look beautiful.” He admitted, almost shyly, but very much honestly.
“Thank you,” she spoke bashfully, blush painting her face.
“I will keep saying it until you believe me, you know?”
“Oh, I believe you,” she giggled.
He reached out to gently grab her hand, gently grazing her shoulder and arm as he took it, “Come on, how about we go back out to the dance floor? This time you won’t be alone.”
“I didn’t think you had it in you to ask a girl out.” Nicole teased, turning back to their usual banter. “I would like that though.”
Kylo chuckled and led her to dance. Nicole tried to swallow her anxiety and push herself to relax. This was so different though. Being close to him like this. Having him touch her like this, having him feel along her waist and hips as they dance around like fools in the night. To feel like he enjoyed her company and admired her, not just lust after her. It was a different type of intimacy, to be seen for who you are. It was certainly pushing the boundaries that friendship holds. The music slowed and everyone halted to a slow dance. “I didn’t know you had it in you to dance like that,” Kylo mocked her earlier statement.
“Really?” Nicole laughed sarcastically, “I will remember that.”
“I remember a lot of the things you’ve done.” He pointed out the times she’s teased him.
“I can give you a lot more things to remember.” Her hand delicately placed itself on the side of his face and the other on his shoulder. Her gaze falls to his lips. Nicole didn’t know what had got into her, she didn’t drink at all, she was too busy with Kylo. Perhaps it was the adrenaline rush that gave her a false sense of confidence.
“Is that so?” Kylo muttered in a husky tone.
The rest of the room, the rest of the world, has faded into a blur. Almost like the only thing that exists is one and other. This was it, this was Kylo’s chance. Nicole is giving him an opening, and he must close in on it. His hand cups her cheek, his other hand on her hip. He holds her like she might break, like she is glass. Like this chance he was graced by is fragile. The hands of worry itself grab him and make him believe that if he doesn’t move carefully enough, his opportunity might just dissipate and break. Though, the veil of deception works well in Kylo’s favor, and he must unveil the truth. He slowly leans in, just enough so their foreheads touch, peering at her lips, “May I?”
“Yes,” she leans in closer, gently pressing a finger to his lips, “but not here.”
“Why is that?”
“Because,” she starts slowly, pressing a kiss to his cheek, “If you kiss me now, I will not want you to stop.”
Oh. “I know somewhere we can go, too,” she continued to add, almost breathlessly.
“I would like that,” Kylo whispered. “You’re really something, you know that?”
“Oh, you have no idea,” Nicole said, beaming at him.
The orange and pink illumination from the beaming sunset had dwindled down long ago, but lights from the city and stars still beam just as brightly. Nicole led Kylo briskly along the sidewalk. Nicole could never be more grateful for Jade’s insistence on getting her own hotel room. The hotel was only a few blocks away from the venue the party was hosted at.
“We’re almost there,” Nicole softly remarked, with some urgency peeking through her voice. “I’m in no rush.”
“Yes you are,” she says, with a light tease.
“Maybe so,” Kylo does not bother denying it.
The last stretch of the walk was hazy. Through the grass and doors, then they finally arrived. The two of them barely made it through the door. As soon as it closed Kylo’s lips were on Nicole’s. His hand gripped her hips as she laced her arms around his neck. He delicately pushes her back. It was certainly going to be a long night. His lips worked against hers, lips molding together in a dance of passion. Nicole’s hands moved up to Kylo’s head, one resting on his cheek and the other on the back of his head. Her hand lightly gripping his hair, pulling a deep groan from him. Nicole took this as a chance to deepen the kiss, her tongue slipping between his lips. The experience of exploring each other’s bodies and mouths was a different level of intoxication, far better than any drink or drug could do. They couldn’t get enough.
They both pulled away. “If you want me to stop, just say the word,” Kylo let out a breath. “I don’t want to ruin this.”
“You could never ruin this, Kylo,” Nicole says, sincerely. “Please, don’t stop.”
That's all it took, the way Nicole looked at him. The glint of lust and love behind her eyes. He dipped down and connected their lips once more, swallowing the gasp that emitted from Nicole. He ran his hands across her neck and shoulders, then her waist and back, and then her hips. Running his hands back up her body, he gently takes the straps of her dress and pulls them off. He helps further remove her dress. He pulls away once more, taking in her body. Kylo had already thought she was perfect, but this only further proved his thoughts. “You’re gorgeous,” He moves his head down to her neck, pressing kisses against her neck. “How did I manage to get so lucky?”
Nicole bit back a soft whimper and clung on to his shoulders. He leads her back to bed, “Lay down for me.”
As she lays down on the bed, he gets down on his knees on the ground in front of her. He leans forward, pressing more kisses against her. From her chest, to the swell of her breasts, then down to her stomach and thighs. “So pretty,” he murmured against her.
Her breathing and heart rate picked up in pace, Kylo was all she ever hoped for and more. Kylo grazed his hands along her thighs, then to the waistband of her panties. Still retaining his
delicate manner, he took them off and placed her legs over his shoulders. For a brief moment, he looked up at her, just admiring her. “Don’t keep me waiting too long, sweetheart.” Nicole spoke, tease skimming her voice.
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” He buries his face in her thighs, his nose bumping against her clit as he presses his mouth against her pussy.
“Oh-,” Nicole moaned out, her hands going down to grab his head.
“I’ve got you,” he mumbled against her.
His mouth did not relent, continuing to lick and suck. He did not slow, he made sure to keep up his intensity, pushing his tongue inside. Nicole’s back arched slightly, as she rolled her hips against him. She tried her best to keep as still as possible, but it was difficult when he was doing so well with her. Strings of curses fall out her mouth as he continues to slide his tongue against her, continuing to push it back in occasionally. Kylo ate her out like he was a starved man. He had a sugar tooth, and she was very sweet. He could keep it up until his teeth ached if that was what she needed. Kylo simply could not get enough of Nicole.
He continues his previous motions, sucking and circling his tongue around the clit. He can tell she is getting closer, the look on her face, the way she is cursing and moaning his name. He does it again and again, hoping to coax more noises from her. Hoping to coax an orgasm out of her. Nicole writhes above him, tensing up. Kylo doubles his efforts, sliding one finger in her, and then another. Making sure to push them deep enough, making sure they are curved just right. He knows he is not going to get enough of this.
 “Kylo!”
That was easily one of the hottest things he’s heard, and he stillwants more. It makes him greedy. Greed makes man blind and foolish. If it so, that greed is a deadly deed, then Kylo would deny the anecdote to live his last moments to soak up and enjoy Nicole’s pleasure.
“Kylo,” she chokes out again, “I’m close.”
Oh he knows, and he can feel it. He is electrified by the thought of her falling apart like this, all because of him. He feels her walls tighten around his fingers and he makes a point to keep going. A rush of heat flows over Nicole as she reaches her climax. Kylo presses a soft kiss to her navel as she comes down from the high of her climax, watching as the rise and fall of her chest slow. “Are you alright?” Kylo checks.
“Yeah,” she lets out a breath, a giddy smile spreading across her face. “I’m really good.”
Kylo smiles at her and leans forward to take her lips in a hasty kiss. “I hope we’re not finished here.” Nicole says, mischiefs seeping through her tone.
“No,” his voice sounds hoarse. “I want to make you feel good.”
“You already have,” she hums. “But you’re overdressed.”
Kylo can’t argue with that. He slides off his suit jacket and unbuttons his shirt, slipping it over his head. “Let me help you with the rest of that,” Nicole says, almost snidely.
Grabbing his shoulders and pushing him over, so she is now on top of him. A rush of heat rushes through him, he could certainly get used to this. Slowly, Nicole runs her hands over his shoulders, then his chest. Until she gets lower, closer to his belt. She places sweet kisses along
his neck and chest. He swallows, hard. Watching as she unbuckles and unzips his pants, keeping the almost unbearable pace. She tosses his belt aside, gaping at his boner. Oh, she was definitely going to feel this in the morning. Her hands finally lower to his pants and she slides them off, along with his boxers. “Well, look at you, pretty boy.”
“Don’t tease me.” He huffs out a chuckle.
Oh, but you like it.” She doesn’t give him a chance to refute her as she takes the tip in her mouth, swirling her tongue around it. He sucks in sharp breath, tensing up. She prevails, sucking and running her tongue against his length. Making sure to take her time as she takes in more, like she was trying to seduce an orgasm out of him. “Nicole,” he grunts. “Please- please I need more.”
She releases with a pop, only to move on to his balls while running her hand up and down his length. “Is that so?”
“Nicole,” he begs. “I need you. You can use me as you want, as long as I’m inside you.”
“Well,” she simpered. “How can I deny such an offer?”
She sat up and maneuvered herself so she could straddle him. Putting one hand one his chest and using the other to grab his length, slowly sinking down onto him. Kylo let out a low moan, grabbing onto Nicole’s hips for some stability. He swallowed, hard. He wasn’t going to last very long, but he would keep going as long as he could. He wanted to hang onto this feeling, This feeling was like no other. It was like a high you could never quite reach with drugs, but would still chase and yearn for. It was otherworldly, to be vulnerable like this. Submission is the choice to give up the right of yourself. For Nicole, Kylo would keep making that choice a million times over. No doubt about it.
Nicole now placed her hands beside Kylo’s head, beginning to move slowly. “I have thought about this moment so much,” she says, a soft moan leaving her mouth.
Kylo tried to hide how much he liked hearing that, “Really?”
“Really,” she confirmed, faintly giggling. “Do you like that? Do you like hearing how I’ve thought about riding you? Or how I dream about sucking you off?”
“You have no idea.”
She felt him twitch, motivating her to pick up the pace. “I’ve thought about this too,” Kylo groans out.
Nicole hums in response, “Really?”
“Yeah- oh!” He barely gets a word out before she grinds down on him. His head falls back and the grip on her hips tightens.
She places her hands on the side of his face, “Keep your eyes on me.” There was almost a beg in her demand, and he could never deny her.
She continued to move, picking up the intensity. Strings of moans and curses fell from their lips, a song neither of them could get tired of listening to. Nicole’s movements did not yield, though her hips faltered a few beats her walls tightened around him. “I’m not going to last long,” Kylo grunted.
“I know,” she pants, “I’m close too.”
Nicole did not let up, eager to allow the both of them to finish. “You’re doing so well,” he breathes.
“I love you.” She moans out.
Kylo groans at that, “I love you too. So much. I should’ve told you sooner.”
His hips start to buck a little bit as Nicole pushes back against him. Whimpers falling from her lips. Any shame that circulated between the two of them, had long disappeared.  Heat pooled in Nicole’s stomach as her climax neared. “I’m gonna-” She tried to get the words out of her mouth.
“That’s it, keep riding me as I fill you up,” he pants.
Nicole felt a familiar heat take over her as she rode out the highs of their climaxes. Slowing down her movements to a halt, she kept her gaze on Kylo. “You’re incredible,” he says, still keeping a breathy tone.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he grins. “So, are we going to try this? Try us?”
Nicole couldn’t help the smile that danced across her face, “I would like that.”
The future may be scary, but the best way to predict it, is to create it. With one and other, it is easy to let the worry fall off their shoulders. Because he loves her, and she loves him, and that's all that matters.

Kinktober Day Thirteen
Gun Kink - Austin!Elvis
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello yes I am aware of how behind I am right now lol but here's day 13 even though it's day 17 now ((: it's very short but it's all I have time to write right now before class oof. if you enjoy please reblog/ like as always! <3
pairing: Austin!Elvis x Reader
warnings: smut, gun kink, gun play, choking, unprotected sex
word count: 576
masterlist || add yourself to the taglist HERE! || kinktober prompt list HERE!
You never thought you’d have the cold barrel of a gun pressed to your temple, yet here you are. Your eyes stare into Elvis’ blue ones unwaveringly as you gulp away your nervousness. The gun isn’t loaded, but still, the idea of it being held to your head is unnerving. It’s kind of sexy.
Elvis’ hips snap into yours, his thrusts are quick and rough as the barrel pushes harder into your skin. Your heart is racing, and you swear he can hear it by the devilish smirk on his face.
“It’s thrilling, isn’t it? Having this gun pointed directly at ya?” Elvis moves the gun from your temple to the middle of your forehead, running his tongue across his bottom lip hungrily.
You know he’d never hurt you on purpose, but the way he’s looking at you like he’s a predator and you’re the prey sends a shiver through your body. The cool metal against your forehead contrasts the heat radiating from your body as Elvis relentlessly pounds into you. Elvis isn’t allowing even an inch of mercy as he moves the barrel to your cheek, pressing it into your teeth.  You breathe heavily through your nose as your adrenaline spikes. Again, the gun has no bullets in it, but the idea of it is enough to send your body numb. Elvis wraps his free hand around your neck, applying his body weight to it as he chokes you out. The feeling of the weapon and the slight loss of oxygen dizzies you. The sound of Elvis’ moaning and your arousal as he slams into your core is floating around your head. You’ve never felt so good in your life, oddly enough.
“Feels so good,” you muster up words, alerting Elvis that you’re still present despite your evident lightheadedness.
“Good,” he grins, coaxing your lips further open with the gun, motioning for you to take it into your mouth.
You suck the barrel into your mouth, swirling your tongue around it sensually. You let Elvis thrust the gun between your lips at the same time he thrusts into you. The amount of lust he’s feeling right now looking at you like this is insurmountable. Nothing could ever top this. His grip on your throat loosens as his hips move sloppily, his orgasm sneaking up on him. You whine as he hits a different angle inside you, your hips moving up and down as fast as possible to chase your high.  Elvis pulls the gun from your mouth, cocking it despite it not being loaded, and presses it back to your temple.
“You’re gonna cum when I tell you to, alright, sweetheart?” Elvis says through gritted teeth.
You nod, his hand still pressing into your neck and not allowing you much opportunity to form proper words. You hold off your release for as long as it takes, having to bite your lip to contain yourself. Elvis’ movements are now erratic as he gets closer to his peak. With one particularly rough thrust into you, he finally grants you permission to cum as he shakily glides the gun down your face and neck. You clenching around him sends him over the edge completely, and he cums hard, his grip on the gun loosening enough to let it fall to the mattress. You recover from your orgasm and flip Elvis over in his moment of weakness, grabbing the gun and pointing it at him.
“My turn,” you smirk.

Personal recap GP MK John Wilson Trophy 2022 - Women FS
This is going to include some SP impressions too...I am going with the starting order of the free skate...
Julia Sauter had a much better free than SP and I think that's the best she could hope for. Beautiful costume.
Alexia Paganini - I don't know why but Alexia seems to be on an downwards spiral. It wasn't particularly bad but she lacks her old technical content and she seems to struggle with the rotations of her jumps. Also program wise there isn't much happening. She changed coaches 3 times in 3 years now...I am sure Michael Huth is a good place for her because he knows how to work with adult skaters past 20. I hope she can change it for the better soon.
Bradie Tennell - Years ago you wouldn't expect her to fall at all it happened so rarely. You really can see what injuries and lack of training do to the consistency of a skater. I really liked the program composition of the SP. The FS overvoice of Greta Thunberg creeped me out though. Vivaldi' s 4 seasons are beautiful pieces of music, you don't need a voiceover and as much as I like programs with a message, this is really not it for me to include a few sentences that have nothing to do with the music. Climate change is an important topic, but not sure that would come across without explanation and the voiceover. I think her costume is one of the most beautiful costumes this season. She just needs time to train, then I am sure we see the old Bradie. 11th place is really not something you would expect for Bradie...
Natasha McKay definitely never expected to skate in a GP but she really lived up to the homecrowd expectations in the SP. I think her SP is a really fun one that gets the crowd going and has a different style than anyone else. Stand out program. Sadly her FS didn't work as well as her SP, if you don't have the most difficult elements you have to at least be clean, but I still think looking at her story and what she has achieved over the years she can be very proud.
Gabrielle Daleman - her story has some similarities with Bradie just a much longer history of training loss and Gabby was hardly ever the most consistent skater. I admire her for still trying after all the hardships and mental illnesses she suffers from. I was delighted for her at Skate Canada in the SP and so sad to see her struggle so much in the free. It unfortunately wasn't much better here. I wish her all the best! Don't give up Gabby!
Nicole Schott was wonderful 😍😍😍 Unique arrangement for Bohemian Rhapsody, cool program! Nicole is one of the skaters that constantly progressed in her technical content. She may never reach the heights in her technical content than the top skaters but give her a few more years and she will come close. It's nice to see the opposite of most skaters who regress with age in their technical content.
Young You sadly also suffers with injuries and isn't in her peak condition, you can see it with how hesitant she is. She lacks a bit of speed and expression that she definitely normally has. It was a very good skate for her. Happy for her. ❤️ I think she is always a bit of underscored especially on jumps, but I do think that her PCS not being super high is ok for her current state. Also beautiful costume 😍 (btw the more classical skating approach to Vivaldi's 4 seasons than Bradie's though it's not the original version either)
Gabriella Izzo - those popped jumps costed a lot of points...I am not really sure what to think of her. She has nice speed across the ice and also expression is there, just dunno I am not sold on her yet...it can change though.
Ekaterina Kurakova invented the sunshine on ice. Her energy and joy is extraordinary. Wonderful musicality. Wonderful program with wonderful music from UP! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ And a clean skate!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 The winner of the hearts! ❤️ (technically she's not on par with the top skaters but everything she lacks technically she makes up in performance, if someone deserves a 10 in performance it's her!)
Anastasiia Gubanova - this was a very good skate. Strong technical content, but some URs. She is very lovely to watch. Not sold on this program though...it would need more fiery instead of lovely imo...
Isabeau Levito - beautiful skater to watch. Especially the SP had many transitions but it's a bit too like obvious not woven into the program. I don't think the SP fits her at all. I think that despite a good knee bend she doesn't accelerate speed effortlessly. I like her FS much better than the SP. It suits her style better. I think for a 15 year old she is very good I just don't think her PCS match her skating yet...she is without a doubt deserving of a medal especially in this field.
MAI MAI MAI MAI ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Mai Mihara is such a great skater. She emoted so well in the free skate. A free skate full of attack and a contrast to that wonderful beautiful fairy like SP. So thrilled for her! She was so often overlooked in the past, underscored, left off big teams for stupid reasons! I hope this is her season to shine! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

“Today’s lecture is on end of life. Death. Passing. However you want to refer to it, it’s about the process of a human being who was here, not being here anymore. And it’s particularly about your role in helping them go peacefully.”
Indy swallowed hard.
The wound was still fresh. It didn’t matter that it was May. Bekah’s funeral could have been just yesterday. She could see the wood grain of the podium she’d delivered the eulogy at in front of her if she closed her eyes for a few seconds too long.
Instead, she looked forward, found her professor in the front of the lecture hall. Dr. Ginn. A quirky woman, who seemed determined to live up to Indy’s first impression as she climbed onto her desk and sat with her clicker in her hand, legs criss-cross.
“Now. Doctors and death, they don’t mix. If I had to guess, a doctor’s worst fear is death. They spend their whole lives fighting it. But nurses? We’re different.”
Indy liked the sound of we.
“For us, the priorities shift. As nurses, your job is just as much to push epi as it is to hold someone’s hand. And you are the one that makes that call. You are the last comfort that a lot of people have in their lives. You are the backbone for the family, for the friends who are there to say goodbye. And you are there to make sure your patient goes as peacefully as they can. That is the most important part of your job, hands down. And if that’s not something you can see yourself doing, then you need to rethink and probably change your career.”
The hall was silent apart from the clicking of laptop keys.
“Now. On that lovely note, let’s get started. A code blue, or as I call it, an ‘oh shit’...”
A message notification appeared on the right corner of Indy’s screen as she opened her notes.
Coffee after class?
Indy smiled, and in lieu of listening for a moment, she let her mind wander back to February...
Grayson was really trying. But it was hard to break habits that he’d been so comfortable with since the first day that he met Indiana. It took so much mental effort to not hold her hand, to not brush her hair behind her ear - so much that Indy nudged him in the side as they walked.
“Where’d you go?”
“Sorry, just thinking.”
She had a good guess of what he was thinking about, or more specifically what he was waiting for.
An answer.
Indy could hear Nicole in her mind, telling her to be careful, to be careful with her heart. She thought of what her mother would say if she met Grayson as she walked beside him on the sidewalk. It kept her mind busy until they got to the familiar door that Grayson pulled open for her. If nothing else made sense, at least there was always Jet’s, with it’s comforting constant vanilla smell and that favorite blue chair that Indy beelined for while Gray went to the counter.
Patrick looked ready to commit murder when he realized who was ordering, but Indy shot him a smile from across the store that softened him up just enough for Grayson to make it out with their coffees unscathed.
“So he definitely hates my guts,” Gray mumbled as he sat down, making sure his back was to the bar.
“He’s a protective one, you know this,” Indy teased as she sipped her coffee.
“How soon did you start working here again after… after I left.”
“I gave myself a couple days. I definitely wasn’t at my peak on my first day if that’s what you’re asking.” She let out a dry chuckle.
“Did you start here or the hospital first?”
“Same time. The tech job kinda fell in my lap, and I needed the money for rent. I only really came back here so I could afford therapy. They have a benefits package for all their employees.”
Grayson froze, but his cup quivered in his hand as he shook.
“I… because of…”
“No, no no, not because of you. I mean, I did talk about the stuff going on with her cause we’ve been having sessions but I was planning on going since graduation. I wanted to get a handle on the whole flying thing.”
The reason went unspoken, and Grayson’s hands didn’t stop shaking, though his breathing came a bit easier.
“Is it going okay?”
“Yeah, I think so. I mean, haven’t really been on a plane to test anything out. But I did better than I thought I would when you were flying out, considering. So that’s a good sign. And my therapist is really nice, we’re a pretty good match.”
“Good. That’s good.” It wasn’t lost on him what it meant that she still cared that he was on a plane. Hope riled in his belly and he beat it back down as best he could.
There was a lull that was filled with the sounds of coffee beans grinding until Indy spoke up again.
“What have you been up to out in LA?”
Grayson swallowed. He looked at her quickly, her soft smile that made him feel like he could tell her anything, no matter how embarrassing it was.
“Honestly? I did fuck all. I mean, I did the basics I guess, with the companies and stuff. But I kinda let the misery have me. You did a hell of a lot better than me, that’s for damn sure.”
“I wasn’t doing great, believe me.”
“But at least you were trying,” he sighed, running a hand over his face. “And I caused all this, I didn’t really have an excuse.”
“It’s in the past now. Nothing we can do to change it.”
“For the record, I wish I could. More than anything.”
“I know.”
“I really am sorry Dee. I know it’s not enough, but I am.”
“I know that too.”
The next beat of silence was painful, and it took a moment for Grayson to realize that it was now or never.
“Remember how bad our first date went? How I had that whole plan that just totally didn’t work?”
“The thunderstorm. I remember.” It made her smile, and she could picture every frame of it, from the ocean hallway to the remnants of apple juice on his lips.
“And I told you I was gonna save the real date for later.”
Indy nodded.
“Could we… can I do it now? Can I take you on a date?”
The thought brought butterflies to Indy’s stomach, but she blamed it on the coffee.
“Yeah. Yeah, that would be nice. What did you have in mind?”
“I’ll show you. Technically Jet’s was first on the list anyways, but the next part is a surprise.”
With that, she stood up and followed him out into the street.
They started their walk separate, but it only took a moment for Indy to grab onto Grayson’s hand. He told himself it was out of necessity so they didn’t get split up in a feeble attempt to keep his hopes from getting away from him. Still, his stomach fluttered high above the pavement as they enjoyed the setting sun and willfully ignored the chill of the wind whipping around the buildings of the city. Eventually, his plan unfolded when they reached the entrance of the Highline. It was one of Indy’s favorite places in the city, but she knew she’d never told Grayson that. He just knew her well enough it seemed.
They walked in peaceful silence for a while, hands squeezed tight against one another’s despite the lull in the foot traffic.
Indy smiled at their luck when they finally found an empty bench with a nice view of the skyline. She tugged Grayson over to it and kept her eyes forward for a moment before she looked over at him. His eyes were on the sky, skin flushed pink from the pigment on the clouds or the chill of the wind, she couldn’t tell. It didn’t matter. He was beautiful, and he was hers if she wanted him.
Across the walkway, a young girl walked with her mom, who had a baby carrier strapped to her chest with a head of fuzzy hair just visible within it. The mom was rushing it seemed, and Indy realized the baby was crying loudly, sharp wails that became more audible as they passed by. The girl was dragging a small lion stuffed animal behind her, and Grayson watched as it slipped out of her hands and onto the concrete.
“Joey! Momma, momma I dropped Joey! Joey!” The girl cried out, but her mom continued to tug her along as she reached back for her lion.
Grayson was on his feet before Indy could say a word, jogging by and scooping up the small stuffed animal. He politely tapped the mother on the shoulder to get her to stop, then squatted down to the girl.
“Is this Joey?”
She nodded, her eyes brimming with tears as she held her hand out for her toy. He passed it over slowly with a smile.
“Hold on tight to him okay?”
“Okay mister,” she said, voice high and quiet.
And right then, Indy saw everything she ever wanted. She saw her kids, with Grayson’s hair and Grayson’s eyes and Grayson’s laugh, she could see him carrying them up to bed, see him dancing with a little girl standing on his toes in their kitchen somewhere, see him passing her a little stuffed animal. She could see him in every facet of the future she hadn’t let herself imagine since he’d left, but her fantasies came rushing back so fast it felt like she was floating.
As if she could ever want anyone else.
She reached over for his hand as he walked back over, intertwining their fingers and letting him sit down before she finally spoke.
“I love this city. I love this city so much. It’s always been all I really needed.”
Grayson felt lightheaded as he prepared himself for what she was going to say.
“I know,” was all he could say.
Indy took a deep breath and turned towards Grayson with a soft smile. She could see the apprehension in his eyes as he waited for her to say something else.
“Did I tell you that Devin came to see me while you were gone?”
He shook his head.
“He came to check on me, since I wasn’t answering anyone.”
Grayson’s throat was tight as he pictured it in his head, the guilt overwhelming him. He reached over and squeezed her knee - a silent apology.
“He helped me figure out that I want to go into nursing, helped me get my head on straight.”
“He’s a smart guy,” Grayson said quietly.
“He told me I need to go for what I want. ‘Ask yourself what you really want the rest of your life to look like, and then do whatever you have to to get there’. That’s what he said. And I thought that’s what I was doing. I was going after a PhD, and my life in New York, and all these things I always wanted. Things I thought were really important. But they aren’t.”
He frowned. “Dee, your dreams are important.”
“I know, I know, and I’m not saying I’m giving up on that. I just mean my priorities I guess. I had them twisted, and I was missing the most important thing.”
She smiled his favorite smile as he tried to swallow.
He couldn’t make himself ask, just in case he was wrong, but she put him out of his misery after a moment.
“You. You’re the most important thing.”
She was suddenly blurry as his eyes filled with tears.
“I’ve never been good at change, but you’re worth it to me. If being with you means spending less time in New York, then it’s worth it. And I’m sorry if I ever made it seem like you weren’t.” She was crying too, and Grayson lifted his free hand to her cheek, wiping each tear with his thumb.
“Never. You never made me feel like that. I was the one that ran, because I never wanted you to feel like you ever had to give up anything for me.”
“Because you don’t realize that you’re worth giving things up for. You don’t realize how worth loving you are.”
He was fully crying now, a broken laugh making it’s way past his lips.
“Does that mean you still love me?”
She smiled.
“Never stopped.”
And she kissed him, and all was right in the world again for a moment. It didn’t matter that there were people walking by, and that their cheeks were wet from their tears. They were kissing and that meant that everything would be okay.
Any stranger that walked by surely had to feel the relief in the air when they pulled back and realized they could lean right back in without a single care in the world. He let go of her hand only to move it to her other cheek, to hold her steady there cradled in his palms as she kissed him between smiles - his whole world in his hands.
In that moment, he wanted more than anything to love her loud.
He pulled back just enough to bring her up to her feet and then his arms were wrapped around her waist, spinning her around until she was breathless and the city was a blur behind both their eyes. And for the first time that he could remember in too many years to count, he didn’t care who could hear him, and he didn’t care who was watching.
“I love you,” he said. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too. I missed you.”
Being back in each other’s arms was as easy as breathing. She didn’t stray an inch from his side, soaking in the warmth of his body next to hers as they made their way down from the highline as the city started to light up. By the time they made it home her toes were numb from the cold but her cheeks were still warm, seeing that every time they had to wait for a crosswalk Grayson ducked down to kiss her again.
When they got to the lobby, Grayson squeezed her hand.
“I gotta get something out of the truck, I’ll be right back.”
“You want me to wait here or head on up?”
He pondered it for a minute.
“Wait for me.”
She nodded. She always waited for him, after all.
He disappeared out of the glass doors at a jog and Indy heard a chuckle from the side of the lobby. She looked over to see the receptionist smiling down at her computer. Indy prided herself on being a very low maintenance tenant, but she still smiled and waved to the woman behind the counter whenever she passed by. Her name tag read Cara in neat white letters.
“Sorry if we were loud,” Indy said sheepishly. Cara laughed.
“Just happy to see you smiling that’s all. I’m glad he’s back.”
Indy blushed bright red before she answered. “Yeah. Me too.”
Grayson was slightly winded when he came back, and he was grateful for the long elevator ride as he held the small gift bag in his hand. Indy pretended she didn’t see it like her mom had always taught her to when she received a gift. Still, her eyes flickered to it each time she knew she could get away with it, her curiosity getting the better of her.
When they finally got inside the apartment he led her over to the living room by the hand and passed her the bag.
“I didn’t know how today was going to go, but I wanted you to have this either way. Figured you could put it on your shelf. When you’re ready.”
Indy pulled the tissue paper out and saw the rose gold edge of a picture frame. She pulled it out and her breath caught in her throat.
“Oh.”
Bekah was smiling.
It warmed the whole image in a way that had Indy’s eyes burning as she tried to place the day. She was curled up on the bed next to Beks, but she wasn’t looking at the camera. Instead, she was looking at the girl beside her. Her little sister in a way, who was tucked away under her halloween blanket.
“That’s the night we had the word search tournament, and you both schooled me,” Grayson explained quietly, wrapping an arm around her waist and squeezing at her hip under her sweatshirt. She remembered then, noticed the activity book in the corner of the picture.
“I didn’t even know you took this.”
“I know you like pictures, I meant to take more of you guys. But I like her smile in this one. Yours too.”
Indy sniffled and leaned her head back onto Grayson’s shoulder. “You’ve made me cry twice now you know.”
He kissed her temple and moved a hand to her forearm.
S-O-R-R-Y
He drew a heart afterwards, and even invisible on her skin she could tell it was lopsided. It made her smile, and she soaked in the feeling of him next to her for a moment before she spun around to kiss him.
“Thank you,” she whispered against his lips before pulling him in for a tight hug that had her up on her tiptoes when he wrapped her up. They held each other for a moment before Indy got an idea.
“I have something for you too. Wait here.”
Grayson kept his hands on her waist, thumbs rubbing over her skin underneath her sweatshirt.
“Stay,” he pouted.
“It’ll just take a second, I promise. Just wait here.”
She kissed him quickly just because she could and disappeared into the bedroom, pulling the door closed behind her.
He lasted about 45 seconds before he was picking at his fingernails. Then he was taking a few steps towards the door, fighting the urge to stick his ear up to it to see if he could get a hint at what she was doing.
Another minute passed, and he felt like he was going to lose it.
“Indyyyy,” he whined. “You’re killin’ me babe.”
“You’re so dramatic oh my god it’s been like a minute tops.”
“One minute too long,” he teased just in hopes of making her laugh. It warmed his heart to hear it, even muffled through the door. It still felt like an eternity before she finally reappeared with her hands behind her back.
“You know, you didn’t need to get me anything. Having you back is more than I deserve already.”
Indy’s laugh was louder this time since she was right in front of him.
“Who knew a Jersey boy could be so damn sappy,” she teased. “I don’t have a frame or anything, but here.”
She pulled out a piece of paper and passed it to him quickly, rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet while she waited for him to read it. It felt like an eternity while she watched his eyes scan over the letters, seemingly missing the UCLA logo in the top corner.
“Did you… are you reading? Did you see it?”
Grayson looked up with a smile and drew a circle in the air around his face.
“Dyslexic,” he reminded her gently.
She bit her lip and tried her hardest to be patient, waiting until his brows furrowed in confusion.
“Wait… wait. What is this? UCLA? Nursing?” He looked up at her cautiously, trying to keep his excitement in check in case he’d misread. “What is this?”
“Well. There’s a lot of good nursing programs out there. And LA has some top notch hospitals too. Especially pediatric ones. Figured it couldn’t hurt to apply, and they’ve got a pretty good tuition coverage package, it’s close to your house, and-”
Grayson’s lips were on hers, his excitement palpable.
She kissed him back with a smile, relieved to finally tell someone about the grand plan she’d made in her head now that all the pieces had come together.
“You’re sure?”
Indiana smiled. “You’re worth it. You’re what I want, forever.”
He kissed her again, making up for lost time and telling her everything he couldn’t find the words for. They walked backwards until the back of his legs hit the couch and she ended up crawling onto his lap, beaming down at him when they finally broke apart.
“You’re actually coming to LA. We’re gonna live there.”
“Guess I gotta start apartment shopping,” she mused.
Grayson rolled his eyes. “Shut up and c’mere.”
He bailed them to the side until Indy was fully on top of him.
“I’ll build you a shelf for our bedroom. Fuck, I’ll build you 50 shelves as soon as we get there. Wait when do classes start, when do you have to move?”
“You’re cute when you’re excited,” she hummed, leaning down to kiss him again. It was slow and purposeful, warm in that familiar way as they remembered each other fully. “We’ll figure it all out,” Indy said eventually, scooting down his torso until her head could rest comfortably on his chest. She listened to his heart beat, a bit fast from either her presence or the coffee, she couldn’t tell. Either way, it was still her favorite sound, and as his hand moved through her hair gently, she knew she’d made the right choice, no matter where it took her.
3 months later, the place it took her was the passenger seat of Grayson’s brand new tesla, which was delightfully cool despite the warmth of the incoming summer making the LA air dry and warm. Grayson held out a hand for her to pass her backpack, tossing it into the backseat as if it wasn’t weighed down with three textbooks. She pulled the door closed behind her and let her head rest back against the seat for a moment before she turned to him.
“Hi.”
He beamed, leaning over the console to give her a quick kiss. “Hey. Good day?”
“Long day, but yeah, it was fine. Got a shit ton of assignments per usual.”
“Hey, three day weekend next week though, and we’re going to New York. What’d you learn?”
“Oh you know, the usual. Meds, codes, diseases, death. Truly uplifting stuff.”
He reached his hand over to her thigh, rubbing circles with his thumb as his other hand moved the wheel effortlessly, pulling back out onto the road.
“Still want coffee? You didn’t answer.”
“Do I ever say no to coffee?”
“Fair points. Text E squared and see if they want anything.”
“They weren’t home?”
“No, they ran to the store, but they should be back by the time we get there.”
“If Eden went to Target without me I’m gonna be pissed,” Indy mumbled halfheartedly, typing out the text in their group chat quickly. “You know she’s gonna say she wants Jet’s.”
“Believe me I know, just ask Ethan. You’ve created a monster. We’ve gotta start asking Patrick to send beans in bulk or something, we go through them so fast now that she drinks it too.”
Indy just laughed and turned up the radio, unsurprised to hear Cudi from Grayson’s playlist he’d made for their car rides. It was routine now for him to pick her up from class, save her from the hassle of trying to find parking on campus. And it gave them some more alone time considering they lived with Ethan and Eden at the house. So, it wasn’t abnormal for Grayson to happily add 20 minutes to the drive to pick up coffee on the way home. Purdy’s was right down the street after all, and though their lattes weren’t quite as perfect as Jet’s, they held their own.
“We should buy Patrick some fancy beans somewhere and take them with us next weekend,” Grayson mused.
“You’re such a suck up, it’s not like he’s giving us free coffee,” Indy laughed. “You’re just still scared of him.”
“Fuck yeah I am! Every time we’ve gone home he looks like he wants to straight up murder me.”
She reached over to hold his cheek for a moment as she bit back her laugh.
“Baby. Patrick can barely lift a 50 pound box of syrup. Believe it or not, I think you could take him.”
He rolled his eyes but the comment wasn’t lost on his ego, especially when his girl leaned over to wrap her arm around his bicep and rest her cheek on it, enjoying the feeling of his bare skin left behind by his tank top. They ordered through the drive thru, surprised when neither Eden or Ethan responded to them. The car was peaceful, even more so when Grayson put it on autopilot and gave Indy more of his attention, trying to ease the stress he could feel coming off of her like it always did when she got out of class.
“Tell me about your lecture,” he said, hoping talking it through would help her.
She sipped on her coffee as she spoke, starting without many details but eventually going more in depth as she got more excited. It was one of Grayson’s favorite parts of listening to her talk about the things she cared about, and even though half of the information went right over his head he listened intently anyways, tried to take it all in as the car drove them home.
By the time they pulled into the driveway, Indy’s coffee was gone along with her stress, and Grayson knew all the steps to running a code blue. He hopped out first, grabbing her bag from the backseat and slinging it over his shoulder as they headed to the front door.
The first sign that something was different was the quiet of the house. Any other time that E squared was left alone, Grayson and Indy would come back to the speakers blaring, a scary movie on the living room TV, or the distant sound of a headboard knocking against the wall.
But it was dead silent, and the pair looked at each other before they scanned the room.
“They’re up to something,” Indy muttered, peaking around the wall to make sure Ethan wasn’t going to scare them.
“For sure. Something is off with Ethan, just don’t know what it is.”
“Oh, you got a feeling huh?” Indy teased, bumping him with her elbow. He took her waist in his hands and pulled her back against him, making her laugh as he tickled her and buried his face in her neck. He never got tired of having her so close - it was just as intoxicating as the first time.
“Sorry you don’t understand the twin connection.”
“Well, use your psychic powers to figure out where the fuck they are then.”
He closed his eyes for dramatic effect, smiling when it got the laugh he wanted out of her. Just as he lifted his fingers to his temple, a bang sounded from the backdoor, making Indy squeal and cling onto Grayson. He went to move her behind him until he saw the culprit - a tennis ball bouncing away across the yard.
“You’re okay, it’s just E,” Grayson breathed, relaxing and moving towards the door to find where his brother was hiding. They walked into the backyard hand in hand, following the sound of music coming from the pool, which was finally finished in the back corner of the property.
Ethan was at the entrance, his biggest smile on his face as he waited for them to get closer. Impatient as ever, he started walking towards them, meeting them halfway across the grass.
“Took you guys long enough to get home. We bought new stuff for the pool, come look at it.”
“E, bro, I told you not to buy random shit on your own,” Grayson grumbled, obviously weary of his brother’s interior design skills.
“Eden was with him,” Indy reminded him at a whisper.
“Just come on,” Ethan said, grabbing onto his brother’s hand and starting to drag him towards the pool.
“Jesus bro, calm down.”
Ethan ignored him, looking to make sure Grayson was bringing Indy along too until they made it around the corner where the small pool was in view.
“Surprise!” Ethan beamed, holding his hand out towards the water. Beside it on the concrete were some new additions.
Four loungers, a beautiful teal color with rounded contour that looked perfect for tanning. In fact, Eden was on one of them sprawled out in her bathing suit, and she looked so comfortable that Indy barely noticed the miniature fifth chair next to her at the end of the line up.
Brain fried from class, it took Indy a moment to piece it together.
5 chairs. 4 people. One smaller than the rest.
“No way,” she gasped, hand coming up to cover her mouth. “Eden no way!”
Indy was already moving towards her best friend before she could get to her feet, ignoring Grayson’s confused calls of “what? huh?” from behind her.
“Yes way,” Eden sniffled, a nervous laugh coming through as she put a hand over her stomach.
“How far along? When did you find out?”
“A couple days ago, we went to the doctor to find out for sure this morning. She said we’re about 7 weeks.”
Indy pulled her in for a hug.
“Wait. Wait.” Grayson was yelling now, catching on with no doubt a few hints from Ethan. “Holy fuck. Holy fuck, you’re pregnant?! She’s PREGNANT?!” He grabbed his brother’s face with both hands and shook him just barely.
“I’m gonna be a fucking dad,” Ethan said, and Indy melted when she realized he was about to cry.
“You’re gonna be a fucking dad,” Grayson repeated, shaking him twice more before he pulled him in for the tightest hug Indy had ever seen them share. The girls watched them for a moment before Indy turned her attention back to Eden.
“How are you feeling with all this?”
“Well I’ve just started having morning sickness, my appetite has been super weird, vegan cheese makes me want to straight up die…”
“Right right, but I mean like… mentally. You okay? This is a big change.”
Even just standing there, the boy's excitement was slightly overwhelming, especially with Grayson literally running around yelling about being an uncle. She was sure that Ethan had been excited from the moment of a positive test.
“A very big change that we weren’t really expecting,” Eden said quietly, looking down at her manicured toes.
“How are you feeling about it?” Indy asked again, reaching out to hold her hand. Eden squeezed tightly.
“Honestly? I’m fucking terrified,” she admitted. “And Ethan’s been great, it’s not that, it’s just… there’s a human in me. Right now. Just chillin’ in there.”
“Yep, there do be a human in there,” Indy laughed at her bluntness. “What are you scared about?”
“Everything. I’m afraid I’m gonna do something that’s gonna hurt them. I don’t know shit about pregnancy, like real pregnancy, and don’t even get me started on trying to push this thing out of me.”
“We’ve got a while to figure all that out. And you aren’t going to do anything that’s going to hurt them. You’re a good mom.”
“Jesus, a mom. Ethan keeps saying that but it sounds different coming from a woman. A fucking mom. You’re gonna have to teach me all the medical stuff… wait actually no I don’t think I even want to know what’s going on in there. I’ll just focus on figuring out how the fuck I’m gonna be a mom.”
“You’ll be great. And you’ll have Ethan too. Those two were pretty much born to be dads,” Indy said. They turned and looked to see Grayson hauling Ethan up to sit on his shoulders before running what she assumed was a victory lap around the backyard.
“Yeah… remind me of that for the next nine months. Regularly.”
They both started laughing and pulled in for another hug.
“I’m so happy for you,” Indy sighed with the warmest smile, images of baby showers and Eden’s bump and the office as a nursery already spinning through her mind.
“Love you aunt… Indiana? Indy?”
Indy scrunched her nose. “We’ll have to work on that one,” she teased, taking her hand and leading her over to their boys, who were still somehow yelling.
They both came running, but Grayson was faster, scooping Eden up and spinning her around so fast that Ethan was immediately scolding him, urging him to be careful.
“She’s not that delicate bub, it’s okay,” Indy reassured him, getting up on her tiptoes to give Ethan a hug. He squeezed her tight and whispered in her ear.
“She okay? You guys are the first ones we’ve told.”
“Just a little scared, like all pregnant people are. Totally normal.”
“Good. I’m glad you know, she’s been dying to tell a girl. Only so much I can do.”
She leaned back with a smile. “You’re doing great already.”
Those words meant more to Ethan than she would ever know, but all he could do was smile and head back over to Eden, a hand across her tummy when she leaned up against his side.
“We’re gonna tell Li when we’re all home next weekend, but Eden’s parents are coming over for dinner in a little while and we’re gonna tell them now so we can do it in person,” Ethan explained, pressing a kiss to Eden’s hair.
“We’ll make ourselves scarce for the evening,” Indy offered, sensing the nerves already rising for Eden. She’d have enough of an audience.
“Okay but first we gotta get a picture of everybody, we’re gonna make an album of telling everybody.” Ethan was already moving as he spoke, setting his phone up on the patio table with the timer on. They all posed with Ethan pointing excitedly to Eden’s non-existent bump before they all headed back inside, still buzzing with excitement.
Grayson stayed particularly close as they gathered around the island, his hand resting on Indy’s hip as they all settled after a few moments. They all helped to straighten up the house in preparation for Eden’s family’s arrival, and Grayson appeared behind Indiana with a smile as she placed a blanket over the back of the couch.
“Date night?”
Indy had lost count of how many dates they’d been on, but those words never failed to make her stomach swirl.
“What’d you have in mind?”
“Well, I know you said you have homework so… Monty’s, secret beach… with flashcards?”
“You truly know the way to my heart.” She kissed him softly and followed him to their room to change into beach clothes. As she sifted through the drawers, she couldn’t help but look at the shelf. It was bigger than the one she’d had in New York, more sturdy with thicker wood and longer, able to hold more frames.
That was a good thing, because there had been some new additions. The picture of Nicole, the baby picture of her and Charlie, and the engagement picture with them and Devin all stood tall beside each other. Down the line came the picture of Indy and Grayson at her graduation, the one where he was dipping her back slightly and wearing her cap. Then was Bekah in her hospital bed - it still made Indy’s chest tight when she looked at it. There were two new ones since then - one of the four of them taken by Lisa in front of their tiny homes, and another of all of them at thanksgiving that they’d finally gotten printed.
“We need to get that picture we just took from Ethan, I wanna put it on the shelf.”
“I’m gonna have to build you another shelf,” he teased as he pulled his swim trunks up.
“Think you’ll probably be building stuff for the nursery first.”
“Shut up, do you really think they’ll let me?” His eyes lit up and Indy laughed as she pulled her New York sweatshirt down over her bikini top.
“I don’t see why not.”
“Fuck yeah, that’s gonna be so much fun! What all do you need in a nursery though? I mean a crib, obviously. A dresser? Do you need a dresser for baby clothes or can you just stack them up cause they’re so tiny?”
“We can talk about it while we drive,” Indy redirected him, taking his hand and leading him out of their room, down the hall and out to the car before he could bombard the other couple of the house with questions.
The excitement was palpable for the whole drive, buzzing within the cab as they made their way to Monty’s, ordered their vegan burgers and raspberry lemonades and snuck away to their secret place on the beach.
Considering it was a Wednesday evening, they didn’t expect it to be busy, but they were particularly excited to see that it was completely empty apart from a few stray crabs that went scurrying away at the sound of their footsteps.
Grayson set out the blanket that was always in the back of the tesla for trips like this and Indy set down their bags and drinks, getting everything settled so they could simply sit down and enjoy their meal.
It was peaceful, calm as the ocean lapped up against the sand gently and they filled their tummies. Grayson was done before Indy, per usual, and he basked in the last remnants of the sun while she finished her fries.
“Wanna swim?” Indy asked.
“Thought we were supposed to wait 30 minutes.”
“That’s a myth,” she teased, standing up to her feet and helping him to his. They walked down to the water quickly, gasping a bit at the cold of the water. Still, there was nothing that compared to the feeling of being in the waves, and Indy braved it. Grayson had every muscle tensed against the cold, but he’d follow her anywhere. Soon enough they were up to shoulder height water, kicking gently to get over the waves when they needed to, arms wrapped around each other to keep warm.
“I can’t believe they’re gonna have a kid. Were gonna be Aunt Dee and Uncle Grayson. What the fuck,” Grayson murmured, half distracted by the way the orange of the sky was starting to reflect off of Indy’s eyes.
“It’s gonna be so much fun to have a little one around. They’re gonna be such good parents.”
“You know who would be even better parents? Us,” he beamed. He looked so beautiful when he smiled, and Indy ran her thumb along his jaw.
“Let me finish school and find a job before you go putting a baby in me,” Indy laughed, but her heart warmed at the thought. She remembered the little girl on the highline, and she wanted it for the two of them.
“You’re done in like a year and a half.”
“Correct,” Indy confirmed it.
“I always thought I’d be married before I had a kid,” Grayson said, trying to bite back his excitement.
She wasn’t sure if it was the bliss of the water around them, or the steadiness of his arms, or the fact that she always felt like she was home when she was with him, but in that moment, she knew.
“Okay. Then let’s get married.”
“Are you serious? You aren’t fucking with me? You really wanna get married?”
“Did I ever give you the impression that I didn’t want to marry you someday?” She teased.
Grayson could only laugh, and look up towards the skies and thank whatever angels were listening and watching for all that he’d been given.
He was pretty sure he knew at least three that were there with him.
“I love you. I love you so fucking much. Don’t know what I ever did to deserve you.”
Indy kissed him. The feeling was mutual in the most effortless way, and there was a sense of peace that she wasn’t used to in that moment, knowing that everything would somehow work itself out and she would have him with her for the rest of her life.
And for once, the timeline of her life wasn’t her priority anymore. She didn’t care what date she’d finish school, or when she’d get her job. And she didn’t care when he would propose, or when they’d find out they were having a child of their own. Because in all those moments, whenever they happened, he would be there, and that was all that really mattered at the end of the day.
They kissed slow, quiet for a while, and as the sun dipped below the horizon Grayson carried her back out onto the sand. They wrapped themselves up in the same towel and found each other’s lips again, warm and familiar and safe as they lost themselves within one another over and over again.
Her lips were chapped by the time they pulled away, both giddy at the realizations that they’d always know finally being said out loud.
“How much homework do you have?”
“Just studying, I can do it in the morning. What’s the plan?” She knew he wouldn’t have asked if there wasn’t something he wanted to do.
“I’ll show you. Just trust me.”
“Okay,” she answered without a second thought.
Twenty minutes later, with salty hair and big smiles, they pulled up to a tattoo parlor.
“I thought you got all yours from Alexis now?”
“Gotta get this one tonight. Special day.”
Indy looked at the neon signs, and the artwork on the walls through the window. She pondered it for a minute, and something in her told her to go for it.
“I think I’m gonna get one too.”
Grayson perked up at that. “Really?” He knew every inch of her body, knew it would be her first one.
“Something small. Something for Beks.”
He smiled and kissed her temple before he got out to open her door.
Indy went first. A small lightning bolt, like the one on Bekah’s headscarf. And, the thunderstorm of their first date in the city. She got it tucked away behind her ear, in the same place of Grayson’s triple threes. His angel number, and her reminder of both of hers. It didn’t hurt as badly as she thought it would, but Grayson sat beside her anyways, rubbed soothing circles on the back of her hand while he held it.
D-O-I-N-G G-O-O-D he wrote.
“Thanks,” she smiled softly. “Bet you won’t even flinch during yours.”
“That's the idea. You can study while I get mine, I want it to be a surprise.”
Hers only took a few minutes, and her lecture material was at the back of her mind once the artist cleaned her up and moved over the Grayson. He grabbed his wallet from her backpack where he’d stowed it and Indy took a seat in one of the chairs in the lobby, occasionally turning her head towards the mirror so she could see her new ink.
Across the shop, Grayson took his shirt off.
“You can pull the letters from these, and I want it right here.” He passed over the stack of flashcards he’d snagged, sure that they’d be able to find what they needed.
“Bitch of a spot,” the artist said quietly as he prepped over his ribs, but he just laughed. From the view of Grayson’s covered legs, he wasn’t sure there was any spot too painful for him.
“She’s worth it,” Grayson said, closing his eyes and waiting. The sting of the needle was familiar, and it did hurt as he moved over each bone. But when he looked in the mirror, it was all worth it. He didn’t even bother putting his shirt on as he paid the artist in cash, including a big tip, and headed out to the lobby.
Indy was sifting through her bag.
“Looking for these?” Grayson held up a small stack of flashcards with a devious grin. “Sorry, had to borrow them for my tat.”
Indy’s brows furrowed, and she stood up, moving closer as he lifted his arm and showed her his ribcage.
In small handwriting, her handwriting, was the word ‘forever’.
“Right where you always trace it.”
To her surprise, her eyes started to burn.
“Gray…” She knew how important his tattoos were to him, what each and every one of them meant.
“Consider it a promise. I’m with you. Forever.”
He ducked down to kiss her, and she smiled against him, hand resting on his torso right below his promise.
She liked the sound of forever.

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” - Audrey Hepburn
Orange tints of one incoming sunset peaked through every floor to ceiling window towering in her cornered office once more.
Beforehand, we laughed and smiled after finally settling down over lunch together. Shared passion that had taken place earlier would certainly need to wait, especially since I pushed subtle envelopes.
“Ready to go?” Whilst I sat in the leather chair perched behind her desk, Nicole sat on my lap, spooning out bites of ice cream from this pint of Cookie Dough. My best friend rarely enjoyed other flavors, always purchasing this choice from the market.
“Usually, I would say yes, but this position is very comfortable.” I smirked. She knew that I had made my own point again.
“Oh, be quiet. We’ll probably do the same thing later.” Nicole gently scooted off my lap and smiled, chuckling before throwing away the empty pint of ice cream. I’d already rebooted the security cameras in here to her relief.
“Could I please drive?” I asked her that one question for a second time on that particular day, genuinely pouting as I stood with this work bag shouldering my life side.
“No.” Nicole said, grabbing her belongings and her keys once more before heading towards her front door. All around, lights then automatically turned off because of sensors here in the room.
________
“Can you work from home yet?” I was reading in bed later that evening while Nicole finished brushing her teeth in the bathroom.
“Tomorrow’s Saturday. Might as well. Even if I’m not around, the building runs like transit.” she then peeked from the open door, smiling towards me
“Good. I have an idea.” I closed this hardcover book, placing it onto one of our bedside tables.
“What, another day trip?” Nicole then walked towards me, dressed in a silk robe, which peeked violet lingerie from this morning.
“No.” I bit my lip, waiting for Nicole to sit beside me on the covers.
“Go on.”
Three, two, one. My thoughts counted down.
Once 11:59 PM struck to 12:00 AM on our digital clock, I leaned inwards directly across the bed to meet her bare lips, smiling into the kiss and smooth her dimples with my thumb before gently pulling away.
“Happy birthday, my love.” I answered, hoping that the rasp of my own voice did not layer with some sort of malice rather than joy here.
“Aw. Thank you. Is this part of why you’ve been trying to keep me around so recently?” she chuckled, almost turning from my gaze.
“Not exactly, but your birthday is still important. I just don’t want you to overexert yourself.” I said, hoping that the caution of my words did not lead to another disagreement.
“I won’t.” she promised once more, leaning into another kiss that would take place between us.
_____
“Good morning,” My voice whispered into her ear as I held Nicole from behind and we woke up together for once. Sunlight peeked through once more, barely rising through the windows to greet us on this special day. Of course, I had already wished my angel “Happy Birthday” at midnight, but she was still around, with me.
“Good morning, Baby.” Nicole then turned in my arms, hugging me back in return and allowing loose curls of her hair fall against me. One gold chain even clasped around my neck and its centered letter also peeked through my loops of chest hair
“Anything you want, we’ll do it.” I gently reached out to hold her cheek. We both laughed quietly together as I realized her night scarf had fallen off once more, a typical occurrence since we began staying in the same bed.
“I’m buying tight hair caps next time.” Nicole rolled her eyes
“Just tell me which brand and I’ll order them right now.” I promised, hoping that she would not have to complete much today.
“Thank you, but don’t start freaking out. There’s just store-bought caps.” she replied back soon after, amused.
“Fine.” I moved to lay on my back, watching the ceiling overhead as sunlight began to glow on her beautifully dark complexion.
“What?” Her dimples turned up, showing laugh lines. Despite some suggestiveness of her silk robe and lingerie from the night before, she looked like an angel, smiling for me in our “small” corner of the world.
“Do you even understand how beautiful you are?” I turned, noticing her from the corner of my eye. This moment between us wasn’t even filled with sexual tension as it might have occured yesterday.
“Thank you,” she whispered, repeating herself and offering shyness for once. Now, I saw one of the few occasions where she allowed herself to be vulnerable without crying.
“French Toast for breakfast in bed?” I asked.
“Sure.” she set her hands together whilst sitting up against our pillows, smiling just before I headed downstairs.
______
“Have you finished for the day?” I questioned, noticing that she finally walked out of her home office by the afternoon.
“Pretty much. A few people sent birthday wishes during my video chat, too.” she smiled, taking off heels that were used for the sake of dressing up on camera to work.
“That’s sweet.” I grinned, reading another book on the sofa.
As for her celebration with me, we had stayed home for once, only leaving to drive out and pick up lunch together from her favorite Italian restaurant located just nearby.
“Wanna go out tonight?” she winked, moving just right to sit on my lap once more.
“What do you mean? Are we having some kind of dinner date or going to the cinema?” I tilted my head, genuinely curious.
“Don’t play dumb. You know what I mean.” she cackled now, soon implying various memories.
“No.” I laughed, nearly hiding my face in embarrassment.
“It was the funniest shit ever! I still have that first video from Madripoor.” Nicole continued laughing and already took her personal cell phone.
“I will never choose Schnapps again. Promise that you will never let me drink on an empty stomach.” I cautioned and shook my head, still cringing as I remembered some of that evening.
“Don’t blame me. You made that decision.” My best friend corrected me. If it were not for our driver aiding us both that night, I would’ve definitely fallen over on the way back to our rented Hightown apartment.
“Could we at least eat dinner first before going downtown?” I whispered, ignoring the fact that Nicole played thIs video of me moving to contemporary music without showing much rhythm. I would say that Ballroom dancing was my forte due to lineage instead.
“Of course. Let me order food and then I’ll call one of your drivers. Does that seem fair?” she asked, finally allowing one of my resources to be used on her birthday.
“Fair.” I smiled once more, kissing her cheek before she dialed a phone number.

Daughter!Reader X Negan, Reader x Daryl: Chapter 1. Darling Princess
Next
Tumblr media
After the sneak peak tested well I decided to post the first chapter. I have many more already written and in the making but I’ll only post them if this gets a good reaction so please if you enjoy this please heart it, reblog it, and/or reply to it. Interaction inspires.
Sucking on another cigarette the stale tobacco burned your throat in a way you would’ve been disgusted by years ago. You looked out your window down at the gate, walkers pulling at it to try and get in. It had been a couple of years since Negan took power and more than long enough for you to feel trapped. You held the smoke in your lungs, a small part of your brain wishing it would ignite inside you and let you combust, before letting it out slow and smooth. Luxuries like this were meant to last. Another luxury was the leather loveseat you were sitting on, and the black and blue mosaic coffee table your feet and ashtray were on, and the acoustic gibson on your lap.
You placed the smoke between your lips to free your hand so you could strum the strings. You were playing an old rock balled your old man had taught you what felt like a life-time ago. He didn’t teach you to play guitar but when you came back from scouts playing campfire songs he insisted on teaching you some real music. You thought back on how many of his guitar strings you broke before that Christmas he bought you your own Washburn. The strings seemed to break less when the instrument was more your size. Those memories felt so distant now. As if they belonged to another person or were part of a movie you watched. The lyrics of the tune you were playing were on the cusp of coming back to you when your door opened violently somewhere behind you.
“My dearest daughter” Negan spoke as he entered your private room. You likened his new way of talking to that of a TV presenter. Always having to keep people on their toes. You used to think it funny when you were a kid but it wasn’t part of his personality then. “What are you doing here? Dinner was half an hour ago.”
“I’m not hungry” you shot back not even turning to face him, which would have been easy since the chair sat with its side to the window, but the walkers chewing on the fence were far more interesting.
“Y/N, don’t lie to me. You said the same at breakfast.” He sauntered over. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Lucille wasn’t with him.
“Food I didn’t earn doesn’t sate my appetite” you shot back, leaning forward to put out your smoke in the ashtray. That must have stirred something within him because the next thing you know you were grabbed by your arm and dragged out of your room, the guitar hitting the ground with a sorry sound. You let him drag you without protest, knowing better.
You were pulled into a plush dining room, immaculately furnished with white cushioned chair and a long oak table, set with silver cutlery. There were five sets in total for you, your father, and three of his ‘wives’. You figured this was some sort of ‘happy family’ play he’d act out but you didn’t know who the viewer was. You? The wives? The men? Or maybe knowing you didn’t want to be here was entertainment enough.
You were shoved into a chair next to the head of the table across from Frankie. She looked comfortable while nursing her drink but you reckoned that wasn’t her first. In front of her sat a bottle of vodka, distilled on-site by worker number 12. Fat Joey was filling the bowls with soup when your father shoved your chair in. He plopped himself into the chair next to you at the head of the table.
“Now isn’t this nice. A big happy family dinner before your old man takes off tomorrow.” You didn’t dignify him with a reply, instead motioning to the bottle of vodka in front of you.
“May I have some, Frankie?” she looked at the bottle then smiled at you
“Go ahead, Princess”. You picked up the bottle and filled your glass half-way to spite her for that nickname.
“Thank you” you tried to be civil, as badly as you wanted to just walk off with the bottle, you sipped your glass instead.
You silently started the soup. The veggies were cut into large pieces. Perfect, chewing gave you a reason not to talk to the dickhead to your left. Your eyes were too buried in your soup to see the other two wives staring at you and your father who was boring holes into your head with his eyes.
“How was your day, Y/N?” Tanya perked up
“Same as yours” you replied with a mouth full of carrot and potato
Silence
“Where are you going tomorrow Negan?” Nicolle added.
“Ladies.” Your father spoke out, his tone showing his distinct lack of patience. “I’m not an idiot. I can tell that our darling daughter doesn’t want to share our company.”
“I made that obvious in my room.” Your spoon fell gracelessly into your bowl. “Why am I here?!”
He reached over and rubbed your cheek affectionately. “Because I love you. And!” he punctuated the final word by raising a finger in front of your face, a silent cue to wait. He stood up from his chair and took off out of the room and down the hall. You took this moment to talk to his wives.
“You don’t have to be nice to me,” you said before starting to shovel soup into your mouth.
“Like hell, we don't.” Frankie retorted, earning a short child from one of the others. You chuckled and swallowed the food in your mouth. You picked up your glass and gestured it at Frankie
“Take notes, Ladies. Frankie doesn’t try bullshit on me” Frankie gestured her glass back. You guessed she’d been in a similar situation, forced to get along with people because it was easier. She didn’t try to be your friend because you knew you wouldn’t appreciate it, which in a weird turn of events you appreciated.
Your father arrived back. It was now you noticed he was a lot cleaner than usual, even the signature leather jacket had left him. Now you were alarmed. In his hands was a pink box with a purple bow. He placed it in front of you and kissed the top of your head. “Happy Birthday, Y/N.”
“Is it my birthday?” you asked, not quite sure. Time had become a blur since the end of the world. You pushed your bowl away to bring the box in front of you.
“Give or take a few months. I know I’ve missed a couple what with...everything...so this will count for at least one of them.” He placed a hand on your shoulder giving it a little squeeze, your own hand finding its way on top “There’s a lot more gifts coming for my princess, don't you worry.” You couldn’t help the smile that came to you, giggling slightly. You looked up at him, seeing nothing but unconditional love being sent back your way
“Dad, it’s alright.” You smiled and turned back to your gift. The wives were now watching, captivated by this little bit of humanity at the end of it all. You gingerly opened the bow and lifted the lid off.
Inside lay a military knife, clearly hand-made on-site with a beautiful leather handle and your name carved into the side in cursive. You released a breath you didn’t realize you had been holding. You picked it up, finding it fits in your hand perfectly.
“It’s beautiful” you near-whispered, watching as the candle lights hit against the metal. In a moment it was lodged in the table a mere inch from Tanya’s hand. You kicked back your chair, making your father step back, and grabbed the vodka bottle in one motion. “Now if only I had a reason to fucking use it” you spat as you stormed out of the room.
Back in your room, you sat in the corner with your head against the cold-glass window, looking down at the dead, only illuminated by the moon. You had killed so many of them before arriving at Sanctuary. Hell, you’d say you saved your old man’s ass more than he saved you...but he was a people’s person. Ruthless. But a people’s person. ‘Let me do my thing and I’ll have these assholes sucking my dick in days’.
That was a different age. Back when your father was a teacher. Back when your mother was sick. Back when your father cheated on her with anything with a pulse and she took it out on you. Back when your mother’s treatment and your father’s lifestyle drained your college fund and you had to enlist. Back when she’d attack you, both emotionally and physically, and you took it cause you knew she was in pain.  Back when you had come home from a 16-month mission because her condition had worsened. Back when the world went to shit. Back when you had to put her down because your sleazeball of a father wasn’t man enough to do it. You looked down at the dead and thought, if you reached your hands through the wires...you could be back with your mom.
Your door opened slowly, heavy footsteps coming your way. There was no need to look. Only one person would enter your room without knocking. “You scared Tanya back there, Princess.” your father spoke in a low voice.
“She can take it” you croaked, a clear sign you had been crying. He kneeled down beside you. In the reflection of the window, you could see him holding out the knife.
“Please take it.” You turned around, your back now pressed to the window.
“Why?”
“You need to be able to protect yourself”
“Give me a gun then”
“No.”
“Why? Scared I’d leave.” You took a swig of your drink.
“I see you’re upset-”
“Do you?! Do you really?” you cut him short, stumbling to your feet using the window to push yourself up. “Why am I upset? Because I eat food I don’t deserve? Because you make people die for me? Because you have me trapped in a fucking tower like Repunzel or some shit!?” That earned a chuckle from him, which only served to piss you off. “I should be down there earning my bit just like everyone else.”
“Do we have to go over this again?” He sighed dramatically. He cupped your face, the knife now dangerously close to you. “You're my daughter Y/N. My darling baby girl. My precious princess”
“I was twenty-six when this shit hit, dad” you mumbled through your squished cheeks. He gave them a little loving slap.
“You're valuable to me, which means some people might want to hurt you. You eat to stay alive, people die because they’re stupid, and you live in this room on this floor so you can be kept safe.” you blew him off with a wave of your hand and an angry sigh. You pushed passed him to your bed, twirling to sit on it and start taking off your combat boots. He walked over and lodged the knife in your headboard before kneeling down to look up at you. “I have to go out for a while. Find this Rick Grimes asshole and get some payback for the fifteen men he killed at our outpost.”
A chill went up your spine “The one near the hilltop settlement” you whispered.
“That’s right.” You looked him in the eye, not noticing how your lip quivered.
“You don’t have too.” you didn’t know if it was the booze or genuine worry for human life but you found yourself begging. “We have more than enough peo-” he shushed you soothingly, his hand coming up to your cheek, rubbing soothing circles.
“Oh but you know I have too, and while I’m gone I don’t want anyone to get ideas on what they can do to you so” he nodded towards the knife. You pulled it out of the wall, looking it over before nodding, mouthing ‘okay’ and depositing it in your nightstand table. He kissed your forehead before leaving, wishing you a good night. Once again alone you took two large gulps of your drink and laid down.
Edit: For creative reasons Y/N is now 26 at the beginning of the apocalypse instead of the original 24

On the Events of August 6th, or “a Eulogy prefaced”
I am reminded of:
”What about you? Are you the happiest and saddest right now that you’ve ever been?” “Of course I am.” “Why?” “Because nothing makes me sadder and nothing makes me happier than you.”
— Nicole Krauss, The History of Love
I am reminded of:
“That’s the pact. Grief and love are forever intertwined. Grief is the terrible reminder of the depths of our love and, like love, grief is non-negotiable.” - Nick Cave, open letter to a grieving fan
I am reminded of:
“I lost someone in the last year. It’s unknown and unspoken territory to me. I thought it was fine. I thought it was fine. It was a gentle passing. Now shapes and echoes resound. I feel a presence that comes and goes – a comforting presence, gentle and protective. I don’t understand it. I don’t believe in a god that sits above. I feel a presence in all things – something mysterious and miraculous. Sometimes I gaze gently at birds and trees and am deeply moved by the life that hums in them. For I love birds and trees especially the sparrows and tall trees with wide branches. It’s strange to feel so connected and yet have a feeling of being so disconnected. At times I’m fine – more than fine as they are here and I forget I lost them and my memories hold the space of all things we shared. My question is I don’t know how to understand the experience of loss. It’s not something I could negotiate with. I hope this makes some sense.
Question to Nick Cave, “how to understand the experience of loss”
I am reminded of:
“Its a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah” -Jeff Buckley
I am reminded of:
“light of the world, hold me.”
West Wind; ‘That Sweet Flute John Clare’ by Mary Oliver
I am reminded of:
For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?  Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
Kahlil Gibran - “The Farewell”
I am reminded of:
There are no graves here.
Kahlil Gibran “ The Farewell”
----
On Wednesday, August 12th, it is forecasted to rain. After August 12th, there are 141 days left in the Gregorian calendar til we are swallowed up by a whole new year.
On Wednesday, August 12th, my father will be buried.
According to Wikipedia, of August 12th we know: “It is the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.”  My father passed away very quickly, and I want it to mean that he was eager to abandon his body so his spirit can run free with God. I want it desperately to be poetic, I want to reach into the muck and tar and pull out a shiny thing that can be dubbed “Meaning”. I want to sit here and tell you that it hurt to see him go; but for me it is not real yet. He passed away on August 6th, very early in the AM. We waited for my sister to come back from school to see his body. How tired he must have been, waiting on us three all that time. My memory of him is tasted like dark chocolate and shitty hospital coffee that helped pull me together. I force myself to repeat the combination in order to not create a phobia of it. And onion rings. For some reason, the only thing I’ve wanted to eat has been deep fried onion rings. We pulled the semblance of a funeral together, quickly like a last minute recital. No one knows yet. August 6th, we got into a car and went to the sea and watched our mother cry. We had coffee and fried food and just went home. It wasn’t a daze, although it might sound like it. It was almost a ritual, methodical. We did it with purpose. We saved our grief, we called out of work & then ignored all other calls.
On Wednesday, we will bury him and we will navigate through 141 new days before we can start a new year. This will be the first time that it will be us 3, instead of us 4.

WIG REVIEW: LICORICE PIZZA
Tumblr media
You guys! I am really trying to see all the Oscar movies. I even went TO AN ACTUAL MOVIE THEATER AND SAW THIS! The heating was broken and I had to wear a coat and hat the entire time (the cinema is back, baby!) but it was still mainly nice to get out of the house? This movie is not entirely what I expected but it was fine if you like longwinded journeys through 70s SoCal nostalgia, a title that is never fully explained, the ENTIRE BAND HAIM, random cameos, motorcycles, waterbeds, and the gas crisis. But what about the wigs? Let’s discuss.
Tumblr media
Most of this movie has no wigs - just grown out real hair. WHICH I REALLY APPRECIATE! If actors can lose or gain weight for a part, they can lose or gain hair!! Anyway, the movie mainly centers around Alana Haim as a 25yo who works for a school picture photographer and Cooper Hoffman (Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son) as a 15yo high school child actor/entrepreneur. From the getgo, this age difference made me very grossed out for their potential romance!! However, most of the movie is just hilarious vignettes about 70s Los Angeles and you can mainly forget how much older she is. MAINLY! Also: I didn’t know the entire band HAIM plays her family! Mazel!
Tumblr media
My very favorite part of Booksmart and The Righteous Gemstones pops up as a smarmy child actor and I LOVE THAT HE COMMITTED TO GROWING LONG HAIR FOR THE PART! Yes! Note: I couldn’t find a pic of him IN this movie for some reason but this is how his hair looked in it. He and baby Hoffman do a variety show together that involves recreating a fake version of Yours Mine and Ours and leads to my very favorite wig of the movie.
Tumblr media
CHRISTINE EBERSOLE FOREVER!!!! She plays Lucille Doolittle which is a very thinly veiled Lucille Ball. I don’t have the drugs necessary to watch Being The Ricardos yet but I can say with all authority that this Lucy wig > Nicole Kidman’s Lucy wig any day of the week. It perfectly captures peak early 70s variety show teased out NONSENSE. This wig only lasts about 5 (glorious!) minutes but WHERE IS CHRISTINE EBERSOLE’S OSCAR?!?!?!
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Mrs. PT Anderson - Maya Rudolph - herself shows up as a casting agent with THIS mini afro and like everything Maya Rudolph does, it is perfect AS IS HER FACE WHEN baby Hoffman sucks at a kid audition! THIS GIF FOREVER.
Tumblr media
AND THEN BRADLEY COOPER SHOWS UP. I am NOT a fan of Bradley Cooper but I think he is perfect when he is cast as an uppity asshole (see also: Wedding Crashers, The Hangover). Here, he plays real-life hairdresser and former boyfriend of Barbra Streisand (and inspiration for the movie Shampoo!), Jon Peters who legit looked exactly like this. I LOVE THIS WIG AND THIS CHARACTER.
Tumblr media
This feathered wig of pure 70s assholery is so perfectly coiffed and feathered that I’m surprised John Travolta hasn’t demanded a bakers dozen for his own personal use.
Tumblr media
Truly this section of the movie is insane and insanely delightful! There are many, MANY more random cameos but they don’t involve wigs so I’ll have to leave you with this image of pure 70s male destructive machismo. This is a pretty fun movie if you can look past the weird romance age difference and can stomach watching Sean Penn riding a motorcycle.
VERDICT: WURQS

Tumblr media
Amy had to forcefully cut the call, in order to shut her brother and she new that this will make him angry. But she didn’t need a pep talk for not getting wasted in the club before her interview. She could handle her brother afterwards and the interview was important. She wandered here and there and settled on the bench. She felt like she is being watched from behind but didn’t find someone. Just then a stunning woman with an icy demeanor came towards her.
“Amy?” stern woman said .
“ yes that’s me “ she replied .
“I am Nicole Anderson, VP of operations at Raines Corp. I will interview you . “ she said .
Amy was surprised to see that she was going to be interviewed by someone so high at post but her queries were eased when she reminded her that they take their hiring process very seriously and she followed her in the conference room keeping her confident look .
“ now then. The Raines Corporation is a global leader in technology and innovation . Why exactly are you interested in being the executive assistant to our CEO ? “
“well…” Amy took a deep breath and continued , “ I’d love to help make the world a better place . what I admire most about the Raines Corporation is your dedication to global innovation and improvement. The clean – water initiative …the vaccine for the cerella virus …the green energy project… you guys aren’t just getting rich. You’re trying to help people, to make technology that’ll save the planet. I can’t think of anything better than being a part of that.”
“hmm……a good answer. A bit cloying , perhaps, but Adrian might actually like that “ Nicole said with an appreciative look.
Just as she was going to speak the next thing , the door at the back of the room swings open , and a handsome man in a perfectly – tailored suit strolls in.
Intelligence sparks through his eyes . He was extremely charming , with his black obsidian eyes assessing her , her already killer nervousness now peaked a whole new level.
“ Adrian I wasn’t expecting you…” Nicole asked unable to hide the surprise in her voice .
Adrian as in Adrian Raines …well all escalated very quickly for her .
“ I had a free minute. Is this the candidate ?” he asked taking the authority in his hands as he decided.
Professionalism and seriousness reflected in his voice .
“ yes …but I’ve just started the interview and—“ Nicole asked stammering .
“ I’ll take over from here “ he cut her off not wanting to take any excuses .
“……of course sir , go right ahead “ she surrendered .
Adrian sat across Amy , eyes burning right through her . He has never seen such a beautiful person in his entire existence , god knows how would she be as a person .
Amy’s nervousness grew even more when his eyes bore through her but she remembered once more , she is Amy Richard Parker and nothing in this world ever scares her , she remembered her brothers’ advices on professionality and confidence and recalled her dad’s proud thought about her and her mother’s loving smile . Now that was enough to calm her down , so she put on the brave and fearless smile again on her face and straightened her back.
“ Amy , is it ? “ Adrian looked at her and saw her hazel brown eyes which her so hypnotizing , with all his strength he prevented himself from being lost in them .
“ that’s right “ she said interrupting his thoughts .
“ tell me Amy , what do you desire ? “ he asked her and she was surprised at the question .
Amy was already so mesmerized from him that this question surprised her.
“ You mean ……why do I want this job ? Because I – “ but was interrupted by Adrian .
“ I didn’t ask why you want this job. I asked what do you desire . “ he asked seriously and professionally.
“ I desire ……PASSION “ she answered after thinking fir a while .
“ oh , really ? “ he asked , his brows raising , he was in true sense intrigued by her answer .
“Sorry , if that is too personal but I am just being honest . I want to feel deeply. I want to experience life , live every moment like my last. We never know when is our last moment , it is better to live our life to the fullest than to regret it afterwards . That’s what I desire “ she answered honestly and it was the true answer she saw what happened to her family everything was good and happy then suddenly they lost everything , she do not want to regret anything .
“ I can relate“ Adrian was impressed internally but didn’t expressed it. He supressed a smile to reach his face. He was truly impressed by her desire to live and feel and experience. He now looked at her resume .
“ lets see here … graduated college 3 years ago …masters in communication …interned at Mannon financial…volunteered in San Torbida and France abroad for a year “ he read out and again was impressed from her but wondered why it took her an extra year to sign up for this interview or for that matter any other one .
“ yep that’s right she said .
“ well , how was that tell me in three words “ he asked .
“ difficult. Enlighting. Rewarding. “ she replied easily .
“ good , this job can be challenging and unpredictable , are you comfortable running unusual errands ?”
“Absolutely “
I have been doing them since a long time now , she thought to herself , smiling .
“ Handling confidential information ? “
“ I can keep a secret “
You wont even realise how many I am keeping right now too , she thought again and smirked .
“ Working nights ? “
“ Always been a night owl “
Okay , I atleast told him one thing fully without strings attached , she smiled while thinking .
“ Good , Anything else I should know about you ? “
“ Hmmmm …… I have got WORLD CLASS people skills “ , she said with a proud smile .
“ Oh , really ? “ he asked with questioning eyes .
“ I was voted ‘ most likable ‘ in my high school class . Also ‘ most popular ‘ and ‘ best smile ‘ . Technichally you are not supposed to win in multiple categories , but I was able to persuade them . And also the cherry on the top I was the PROM QUEEN “ , she stated out all of her achievements proudly and remembered how happy and proud her father was to see her that day . She and her brothers has always been the brightest in the whole family , anyways. Suddenly feeling nostalgic and tears building in her eyes she averted her gaze on the floor.
“ Thus proving your point “ said a grinning and impressed Adrian , but he saw a glint of sadness in her eyes and he doubted that he saw tears too , and was unable to understand why counting her proud moments made her sad .
“ exactly” Amy said after controlling her emotions and forcing a smile.
“ one more question “ Adrian leaned forward hands folded on the table and with an intense expression , told her the story of a man who got a genie lamp and destroyed everything , and then finally asked her about what should his final wish should be .
“I think his final wish should be to undo his first two wishes “ she said after thinking for a while .
“because ?” Adrian asked curious to know her theory .
“ because he already had everything he could ask for a family and many friends …what could he ask for more it was more than enough …all he wanted or ever needed was right there in front of him …this is a story of temptation and greed …he should have never played this game …all now he can do is making things as they were before “
Her answer was something totally honest … Adrian glanced at her and then noticed how true each and every word was . she was not only beautiful but also quite intelligent …in true sense beauty with brains.
She was quite interesting too …Adrian personally never saw such a person in his entire life … and he needed to know her …he knew that it is a huge risk and a mistake but he already did that when he decided to interview her himself …now he couldn’t resist her … so then he does the only thing he could do …he knew that Nicole will be a big trouble after this but guess he was okay with that if it was what would keep this girl around .
Then he grins brightly at Amy and says
“ You’re hired “
“wait what ? …seriously “ Amy asked with wide eyes , she was surprised , how in world is it possible that someone gets hired so fast …this was weird to her … but of course she was happy .
Adrian left an inside giggle watching her surprised reaction …she looked adorable with those wide eyes …his smile grew even wider … and he extends his hand …which obviously she took .
‘ oh my god …his skin is impossibly smooth…and hold so firm …wow he is really handso-……no no no …stop brain stop thinking …no eyes …don’t look in his eyes for too long … fuck …, I am a disaster …stop cheeks don’t turn red …god please ‘ she thought .
Good god if god wanted to kill her please kill her in this exact moment …someone save her from this embarrassment …she was a disaster with wide eyes blushing cheeks …FUCK.
Adrian saw her flustered reaction which was by far the cutest thing he saw in his life … his vampire senses made her blushing cheeks clearly visible …the dark pink tint on her cheek made her impossibly adorable.
“welcome to Raines Corporation “ , he said with a bright smile
They made eye contact for just moment but everything stood still for that particular moment …it was mesmerising .
In that moment Adrian didn’t knew about Amy but he knew that they were going to go a long way .
